Again I used my new “Sweetapolita” sprinkles. In fact I just found an excuse to use them. I said to myself, “What cookies could I bake, to use my sprinkles?” And I found in my drawer, this funny cup cookie cutter.

For once this is a very small article but I really wanted to show you these cookies: loving whales.

Valentine’s Day is a commercial celebration, blah blah blah, yes we’ve heard it many times. Nevertheless, it’s the occasion (like all the other days of the year) to tell his half that we love him. So, I made some pretty little whales that will end up in my honey’s belly 😉 And we can’t really say that this is a special occasion because, he always find some cookies throughout the year in the fridge.

The love sprinkles I used as a “water spray” are the Sweetapolita sprinkles available here. They are sooooooo beautiful, I just love them!

Do you know Cee-Roo ? He’s an incredible artist. I hope you know him. And if you don’t (…I can’t believe you don’t…), I advise you to discover him right now.

Last August 27th, he offered us a free concert from his balcony in the very center of Bienne. A magnificent performance with video mapping, talented dancers and a sound to give you chills. He was announcing his new album “River” which is currently out on Soundcloud (12 tracks in total). In order to thank him for making us vibrate with his sounds to make fall the sole of our sneakers, I made him some cookies with his logo.

This year, to celebrate Christmas in my family, my mom asked me to prepare a cake. I wanted to make a cake without sugarpaste and with plenty of little treats on it.

It was a chocolate-hazelnuts cake with a Chocolate-Nutella italian meringue buttercream. I baked all the items you can see on the cake except candy canes and Ferrero Rocher chocolate.

Here is a cake that I found in my archives. Not the cake, but the pictures. I had done this cake for a winter wedding and as it is the season, I’m glad to introduce you to it now.

I like the bride and groom idea to make a very simple cake with icy winter colors: light blue and white. This sobriety gives more importance to the cake topper. Lost in the vast white snow, these two lovebirds will love forever 🙂 It’s very poetic, don’t you think ? More pictures below…
